Although other insurance policies may cover your Sky equipment, Sky protect is the only on endorsed by Sky and, moreover, the only one that will offer you a technical helpline manned by trained Sky engineers.

The 1 year Sky guarantee that came with your box doesn't protect against damage caused by accidents and Technical Faults. And if your Sky guarantee has expired, even a simple fault could turn out to be costly. Call-out charges cost up to £65, and a new sky box can cost as much as £249.
